Indian Summer at the Catskills Bed and Breakfast

An Indian summer is a heat wave that occurs in the autumn. It refers to a period of considerably above normal temperatures, accompanied by dry and hazy conditions, usually after there has been a killing frost. Depending on latitude and elevation, it can occur in the Northern Hemisphere between late September and mid November. Here is Stamford, New York in  the heart of the Catskill Mountains we have had warm temperatures for the last few weeks and the falling leaves are like a painting of vivid colors.  there is great hiking here towards the Hobart Book Village as well as at Hunter Mountain and at Kaaterskill Falls on Route 23 .

The Catskills B & B is a great location for a “Green” staycation. We offer vegetarian meals, as well as yoga and meditation classes.

It is only a thirty minute drive from the Catskill Bed and Breakfast and Spa in Stamford, New York to some of the most beautiful sites and hiking trails including Kaaterskill Falls. Just drive past the Hunter Mountain ski Resort and ten minutes later you will be at the foot of the waterfall and a few miles from of zip lines and  many  hiking trains.  Wear comfortable shoes, open your eyes and prepare to be inspired.
