About the Catskill Art and Culture Festival
The Catskill Bed and Breakfast and Spa serves as the Information Center for the Catskills Art and Culture Festival. The Festival is a year round resource for artistic events, cultural happenings, and historic places within the Catskills region.
Founded by Lewis Harrison the co-owner of the Catskill B & B and Spa the Festival celebrates the history, culture and natural resources of the Catskill Region of New York State, as well as the amazing hiking trails, mountains, farms and communities, throughout the region. The present form of the festival was conceived in 2010 when Lewis Harrison an author, artist, and professional speaker on entrepreneurism opened the Catskills Bed and Breakfast and Spa in the Town of Stamford, New York. Lewis began reaching out to local musicians and other artists creating and nurturing networking and reciprocal relationships that have helped bring diverse elements of the artistic and business communities within the Catskill Region.
The Festival was launched on May 1, 2012, designed to promote the arts and culture of the Catskill Region through the creation of regular blogs and articles as well as a central resource listing for the many local calendar listings and special events created from existing arts and cultural organizations in the Catskill Region.
Support for the festival has been strong and is growing at a rapid pace. Festival attendees come not only from the Catskill mountain region but from New York City, including other areas of New York State, and other regions of the country as well. The Festival also hopes to bring many visitors from Latin America and from overseas to discover artistic, historic and cultural treasures the Catskills have to offer.
The Headquarters of the Catskill Art and Culture Festival is located in Stamford, NY. Many of the listings focus on art and cultural events centers along the NYS Route 28, 10, 23, and 23A corridors. The Catskill Art and Culture Festival was created to promote the artistic and cultural assets of the entire Catskill Region. Since we are in our early stages, we are focusing on the Central, Northern and Western Catskill Region particularly Delaware, Ulster, Schoharie, and Green Counties. Events taking place within the rest of the Catskills Region including Ostego and Sullivan County are often listed as well.
Whether you are interested in visiting historic homes, museums, our numerous art galleries, or experiencing the fine arts, film, theater, dance, or music, The Central Catskills Art and Culture Festival truly offers something for everyone!
Ask your host about events scheduled during your stay with us.

The Taste of the Catskills Festival is a family-friendly event that showcases the food, beer, crafts, and wine of our region. With a variety of vendors including farmers, value-added food producers, and restaurants, attendees learn how food travels from farm to fork during a fun-filled autumn weekend on the grounds of Maple Shade Farm, a family-run farm in Delhi.
Each day’s events will culminate with a dinner prepared entirely from local ingredients, paired with local beer and wine. Following dinner, a bonfire and barn dance will keep your feet tapping.
On Saturday the day culminates with a tremendous fireworks display sponsored by the Delaware National Bank of Delhi.
There are lots of kid’s activities each day. The activities will highlight life on the farm. The Catskill Puppets are on the grounds both days with their larger than life creations. This year the Catskill Watershed Corporation is helping us bring a wonderful puppet show from Arm of the Sea about the creation of the New York City water supply system.
Workshops each day teach attendees tricks for farming, cooking, brewing, and vintning.
This year we will also be hosting a Wedding Exposition sponsored by Morris Tent. If you are getting married or throwing a party, this will be a great opportunity to see the best of what our area has to offer.
Some great artistic areas of the festival include: showings of the Best Films from the Art & Soul Film Festival, a quilt show by the Delaware County Town and Country Quilters, a photo exhibit Bob Wyer’s Delaware County: Photographs From the Mid- 20th Century, and an exhibit from the Delaware County Historical Association, Ups and Downs: Railroads in Delaware County.
The main activities are held under tents and in the barn, so the show will go on RAIN OR SHINE!!!
